*Spoiler alert for Season 7 Voltron*
If you follow the Voltron fandom even a little bit, you know that it’s at war right now. The show has been hinting at Klance being canon since season 1, only to have very glossed over Shadam.
And okay yes, I ship Klance, and I am disappointed it isn’t (and the way things are looking, probably won’t be) canon.
But that’s not what I’m upset about.
It’s that the cast had to fight for this little representation. It’s that they made a big deal about queer Shiro. It’s that even though they’re canonly together, there relationship was so subtle you probably would have missed it if you didn’t know beforehand. It’s that this is clearly queerbaiting.
The Voltron writers, show runners, and cast has been getting so much hate for this when it wasn’t even their fault. It’s Dreamworks that didn’t want representation. It’s Dreamworks that only cares about its ratings.
I haven’t been in the fandom for that long, but I can see there is lots of shipping wars. But at this point, it doesn’t matter what you ship. You have to admit this is wrong. Sure, I would love for Klance to be canon. But what I really want is for Shiro to be out. What I want is for Shiro to not become another Dumbledore, or even another Assistant D.A. Serena Southerlyn.
This isn’t a time to be divided by ships. It’s a time to come together and fight for representation.
(Also, don’t fight me about this being queerbaiting. If a queer person says the queer rep isn’t good enough, then it isn’t good enough.)

I Can't Think of a Title! I'm Too Indecisive!

6. What kind of story would you love to read about , but are too lazy write yourself?
Original story: A typical romance story, but there isn't romance. It's replaced by hella strong friendship.
Fanfic: Wanda Maximoff realises she's an amab demigirl and ceterosexual, and is good Jewish and Romani representation.
7. If you could switch the personality of one animal with another and keep it as a pet, while setting the other one free to wreak havoc (i.e a bear with the personality of a golden retriever), what would you choose?
Either a llama with a dog or a leopard with a bunny.
So, here's my questions... I'm hella tired, so they'll be weird as fuck (or really boring...), but that's okay.

TW/CW: transphobia, cissexism, invalidating
Don’t ask a trans person what gender they were assigned at birth or what their birth name is. It’s very rude and invaliditing. Also, it’s none of your business.
Don’t go behind their back and ask someone else this, either. It’s not important to you. It’s not that person’s job to tell you.
If that person trans person wants to tell you those things, that’s fine; it’s their choice. But don’t go demanding them or anyone else for that information.
If someone tells you not to ask things like that or tells you it’s rude, apologize. Sure, maybe you didn’t mean to hurt anyone. But it doesn’t change the fact that you did. If you accidentally stepped on someone’s toe, you would (hopefully) apologize and see if they were okay. The same principle applies if you accidentally offend someone. Apologize and listen to them; don’t get defensive and act like they hurt you.
